MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA : MAY 2015 : LODGING

Oak Bluffs

We stayed at the Pequot Hotel in Oak Bluffs. They have 32 rooms in the main house, the middle house, and the annex building, which is where we stayed. They are located on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood just blocks away from the beach, downtown area with shopping and restaurants, and the ferry dock. The breakfast included quiche, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, and a variety of pastries. They have cookies available in the afternoon and evenings and coffee and tea all day long. On the Friday night that we were there they had a "Porch Party" with wine, snacks, and live music.

The hallway in the Annex Building had murals of the island on the walls and our room was bright and cozy with a definite beach feel. We were on the third floor so it was a little warm up there but there was an air conditioner if we needed it.

I don't think it's an understatement to say that we fell in love with this place. The staff was friendly and there was a welcoming atmosphere.
